Civil Registry
The Embassy of Honduras in the Republic of Korea performs consular acts related to the civil registration of Honduran citizens, including the registration of births, marriages, divorces, and deaths that occur in the Republic of Korea. These procedures allow civil status events to have legal effect in Honduras through their subsequent registration before the competent authorities.
Who May Apply?
This service is available to Honduran citizens and family members with a legitimate interest who need to register in Honduras a birth, marriage, divorce, or death that occurred in the Republic of Korea.
General Requirements

Official Korean document evidencing the civil status event to be registered.

Apostille issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, when applicable.

Spanish translation and consular certification of the translation.

Honduran National Identity Card (DNI) or passport of the appearing parties.

One or two witnesses, depending on the type of registration.
Procedure

The applicant submits the apostilled official document together with the supporting documentation.

The Embassy prepares or certifies the Spanish translation of the document.

The corresponding consular act is carried out with the participation of the appearing parties and/or witnesses, as required.

The signed original is retained in the Embassy’s consular archives, and the applicant receives the corresponding certified transcript or record.

The process must be completed in Honduras before the National Registry of Persons (RNP) by the interested party or his or her legal representative.
Important Information
The procedure begins at the Embassy but is not considered fully completed until it has been finalized before the National Registry of Persons (RNP) in Honduras.
