Passports and Emergency Travel Documents

The Embassy of Honduras in the Republic of Korea provides guidance regarding passport services and issues Emergency Travel Documents (Salvoconductos) for Honduran citizens in duly justified emergency situations. This page will help you determine which document applies to your circumstances and explain the Embassy's current operational limitations.

Who May Apply?

Honduran citizens residing in or transiting through the Republic of Korea may request guidance if they need to renew a passport, explore documentation options, or urgently return to Honduras without a valid passport.

A. Honduran Passport

General Information

At present, the Embassy of Honduras in the Republic of Korea does not have biometric passport enrollment equipment. Within the Asia-Pacific region, the Honduran mission with full biometric passport enrollment capabilities is located in Japan. In some cases, applicants may also be referred to the Embassy of Honduras in China for data capture procedures.

  • Valid Honduran National Identity Card (DNI).

  • Previous passport, if applicable.

  • Birth certificate in certain cases, particularly for first-time issuance.
